CALIFORNIA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT

ANNOUNCES KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION

The California Area School District announces Kindergarten Registration for 2010-2011 kindergarten students.  Registration for all eligible children will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 and Thursday, March 4, 2010 at California Area Elementary School.  To be eligible, children must be a resident of the school district and be five years of age on or before August 31, 2010. Registration packets will be available in the school’s office after February 12, 2010.  On the day of registration, the child to be registered must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be required to present photo identification, proof of the child’s birth, and the child’s immunization record.  Also, three proofs of residency must be presented, in accordance with school district policy before a child can be registered.  Times for registering are based on the first letter of the child’s last name.
